World COPD Day
World COPD Day 2019 is on Wednesday, 20 November
COPD is also known as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. It's a group of lung conditions that make it difficult to breathe because your airways have been narrowed.
Life with COPD can be difficult. Everyday tasks can become a challenge. It's a progressive condition, which means there is no cure.
But with your help, we can change this. We're the only UK charity looking after the nation's lungs, and we're researching COPD to find new treatments and cures. Will you support us?

"My motto is 'there's life after diagnosis'." Deborah, who was diagnosed 3 years ago
COPD affects 1.2 million people in the UK - that's 2% of the population. And millions more across the UK have COPD and don’t even know it.
If you're concerned about your breathing, take our online breath test. It only takes 10 minutes, but it could change your life.
Do you have COPD?
If you're living with COPD, we're here for you.
We've got plenty of online information on COPD, including advice on self-management plans and our COPD passport. We can also send you leaflets in the post. Or, ring our helpline on 03000 030 555 from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
"I’ve seen very dark times but I found hope. For the first time in a long time, I’m excited by life." Sarah, who ran the London Marathon with COPD in 2016
