Integrated Breathe Easy
We're helping our Breathe Easy support groups to have a much bigger impact in their local communities.
Our Integrated Breathe Easy support groups improve the quality of life for people affected by lung conditions.
Working in partnership with commissioners, health care professionals and communities, we’re working to embed groups into local healthcare pathways.
Groups are run by passionate volunteers to bring together people across the community.
With the award of a grant from the Big Lottery Fund, following a report from the University of Kent and with the continued support of Nesta, we’re now extending our Integrated Breathe Easy model across the UK.
We aim to increase the reach and impact of groups and offer more support for the thousands of people affected by lung disease.
The scheme supports people primarily aged over 65 and living with a lung condition. They often experience reduced mobility, increased social isolation and fractured community support networks. This initiative will directly tackle these issues and provide positive and innovative solutions to the challenges they face every day.
What we do
One person in five in the UK is affected by lung disease. Millions more are at risk. We’re here for every one of them.
