This World COPD Day, Wednesday 16 November 2022, 1.4 million people in the UK are living with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), with about the same number believed to be undiagnosed. We want to raise awareness of COPD and make sure that everyone with COPD, or who may have COPD, has access to the care and information that they need to manage their condition well.
Our new report, Delayed Diagnosis and Unequal Care reveals a worrying picture of delayed diagnosis, substandard care, and a disproportionate impact of inequalities on people with COPD.
