Our plan: two years on
It’s been two years since we launched the national plan to improve the nation’s lung health. Here’s an update on progress made in each of these areas:
- Foreword: Taskforce Chair
- Foreword: Taskforce Carer Representative
- Two years on: keeping lungs healthy
- Two years on: identifying lung disease early
- Two years on: better care for all
- Two years on: living with a lung disease

“The Taskforce has continued to work tirelessly in 2020, adapting to the difficult and ever-changing circumstances brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Alison Cook
Chair of the Taskforce

“Fundamentally if it wasn’t for the work of the Taskforce, I don’t feel that lung diseases would have any profile, and people like me and Ron wouldn’t have the chance to get our voices heard.”
Maxine Flewett
Patient and carer representative, Taskforce for Lung Health
Our data tracker provides statistics with the aim of being able to monitor progress being made in future. We have started to collect data from a wide variety of sources and present it in a clear format to show where there is improvement and where there is more work still to do.
The Taskforce is only possible because of the expertise and commitment of our members. We would like to thank everyone who has contributed this year. We are also grateful to our sponsors.
