Incredible support from trusts and foundations

The support from generous trusts, foundations and other grant-giving bodies makes a difference to the lives of people affected by lung conditions.

Research funded by the Masonic Charitable Foundation

In 2018-19 the Masonic Charitable Foundation funded a ground-breaking research project into idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF).

There are about 32,000 people in the UK living with IPF. Its cause is unknown and there’s currently no cure.

Thanks to the generosity of the Masonic Charitable Foundation, we have funded Dr Nick Hannan’s exciting research at the University of Nottingham. Dr Hannan’s team will build an innovative model of the disease to help us understand how and why it develops. This is vital in order to test more effective treatments and cures and to save lives in the future.

We would like to thank Masonic Charitable Foundation again for their generosity, and also the Nottinghamshire Freemasons for visiting our project.

If you are interested in joining our mission to prevent, treat and cure lung disease, please do get in touch on 0207 688 5583 or email  We would be delighted to talk about how you can save lives through research.

Thank you!
