One person in five in the UK is affected by lung disease. As the only UK charity for people affected by all lung and respiratory diseases – from mild asthma through to lung cancer – Asthma UK and British Lung Foundation Partnership is here for every one of them. We provide support, fund vital research, and campaign for better prevention, treatment and care.

Asthma UK and British Lung Foundation merged to form the Partnership at the end of 2019, making this an exciting time to join the team as we work to increase our impact and support for those with and affected by respiratory diseases. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about our cause, are keen to grow and develop in a role, and strive for improvement and innovation. Where we’re based

We have five offices in the UK. Our head office is located in Aldgate, London, just a short walk from Aldgate, Aldgate East and Tower Hill tube stations.

Our other London office is in the heart of Clerkenwell, just 10 minutes’ walk from Angel, Farringdon, Barbican and Old Street stations.

We also have offices in Scotland and Wales to support the organisation across the UK. Last but certainly not least, Liverpool is the home of our helpline office, where our team of specialist nurses and advisors offer life-changing support to thousands of callers each year.

Interim Projects and Content Officer

An opportunity has arisen to join our Content & Creative team, working on projects across services, fundraising, research and external affairs. Reporting to the Head of Content & Creative, your role will be to co-ordinate the planning and delivery of projects for the team, and to write, edit and proof copy. 

Location: Mansell Street, E1 
Salary: £30,000 (FTE)
Hours: 35
Permanent/Temporary: Six months contract (maternity cover)

Health Advice Officer

You will support the two Health Advice Specialists to write, edit, proof and generally manage our health advice content across both the Asthma UK and the British Lung Foundation brands. You will also be responsible for sourcing and writing case studies and blogs, helping manage our readers panel and liaising with your social media, digital engagement and fundraising colleagues to ensure our vital, life-saving health advice information reaches the broadest possible audience.

Patient & Public Involvement Manager

We’re looking for a Patient & Public Involvement Manager to develop a strategic vision to maximise these opportunities. We’re looking for a tireless innovator who’s always looking for better ways to involve patients and the public in our work, in particular using emerging digital channels and technologies to engage with a range of stakeholders including people affected by a lung condition. And we want a potential thought-leader who keeps a keen eye on innovations in the field across the world and brings new ideas back into the organisation to explore.
