Interim Health Content Designer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our Health Advice team as a Content Designer.

Location: E1 8AA
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum
Closing Date: Tuesday 24 March 2020

One person in five in the UK is affected by lung disease. As the only UK charity for people affected by all lung and respiratory diseases – from mild asthma through to lung cancer – the Asthma UK British Lung Foundation Partnership is here for every one of them. We provide support, fund vital research, and campaign for better prevention, treatment and care.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our Health Advice team as a Content Designer. Our Health Advice team will drive our digital health content into the future, and you will be at the forefront of making this change happen. You’ll be creating and designing user-centred, high-quality health advice content that’s up-to-date with the best clinical evidence, and is sector-leading in quality and usability. A true collaborator, you’ll work with colleagues across the organisation, especially our UX team, to multiply the impact of our content and get it to the people that need it, at the right time, and in the right place and format, so they get what they need to better manage their condition and live healthier lives.

You’ll be an experienced content designer who’s worked on public service or health content before. You’ll know how to find out what users think about our content, and improve or overhaul the content to meet their needs and goals better. You’ll be highly digital, with the ability to design and build prototypes and content, and use a range of analytics tools and software. We’re looking for someone who’s future focused, to help us reach out for new trends and technologies that we can put into service for people affected by lung disease.

If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you. You’ll be joining a small team at a really exciting stage, and you’ll have the opportunity to shape and grow the role as you grow. You’ll find it a great opportunity to develop and also share your content design skills with others.

As well as a competitive salary, you’ll enjoy a range of benefits including our cycle-to-work scheme, interest-free annual season Travelcard loan, 30 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), pension scheme and much more.

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to an organisation committed to supporting everyone whose life is changed by lung disease.
