Amanda Redman and Ray Winstone are blowing bubbles
Find out why Amanda Redmane and Ray Winstone support IPF week.
Yesterday afternoon I popped over to see actors Amanda Redman and Ray Winstone, where they took some time out from rehearsing to find out how our IPF campaign is going.
As soon as they heard about how many people had been blowing bubbles in support of IPF Week, they couldn’t wait to throw on some BLF t-shirts and have a go themselves.
They had great fun and didn’t stop laughing the whole way through – Ray even started singing ‘I’m Forever Blowing Bubbles’ which is West Ham United’s club song (they’re also supporting us this week!)Amanda said she wanted to do whatever she could to support us.
By getting behind the BLF this week Amanda really is helping to make a difference to the 5,000 people who are diagnosed with IPF every year in the UK. Because we don’t know what causes IPF, and we don’t have a cure, it can kill with devastating speed.
Ray was really inspired by the stories we’ve been sharing on our blog all week - such as how Joyce got a second chance, and how Andrea Corr (from The Corrs) lost her Mum within a few months - and asked if there was anything else he could do to help.
That’s when I told them about the IPF appeal and they asked if they could film this quick video message. They really want you to get involved too, so watch the video, and if you can, text IPF to 70500 to donate £5.
