Thanks to everyone who looked after our lungs in 2016

This Christmas, Kevin says thanks for giving your support all year.

As Christmas is upon us, I want to thank you for putting smiles on the faces of people with lung conditions through the entire year.

Thank you to each and every one of you who volunteered your time. From running our Breathe Easy support groups to our medical advisers and more – you all make such a difference.

Thousands of you took action - by signing our air pollution petition, writing to your MP about making lung health a priority and getting involved in Breathe Easy week, IPF week, and World COPD day (to name just a few).

And your donations and dedicated fundraising give hope, and help, to people across the UK. We all really appreciate it. Thank you.

Look after yourself

This time of year can be troubling for people with lung conditions. The cold weather and icy conditions can trigger a flare-up or make life more difficult.

One of our helpline nurses has put together some tips for looking after your lungs this winter.

I’m trying my best - but there are some things I just can’t do Ann

And if you’re worrying about attending social events this Christmas, you’re not alone. If you don't always look ill, it's difficult for those around you to know what you're going through.

Ann is living with a lung condition. She's put together a list of 9 things people with lung conditions want friends and family to know. It might help people understand why it takes you longer to do things, or why you might not be able to make it out at all.

Support our helpline

This festive season, more than 1,600 people will call our helpline for support. Can you help us be there for those who desperately need our care?

Our friendly helpline team gives expert guidance, practical and emotional support, and a caring ear when it’s most needed.

We don’t receive any government funding – it’s only the support of people like you that allows us to be here. And just £10 could support 1 person in need.

Give to our Christmas appeal

Our helpline is closed for Christmas but reopens on Tuesday 3 January. Take a look at our advice if you need help over Christmas.
