The Big Sing

For a fun and uplifting way to support us, why not hold an extra special concert with your school and raise vital funds for our work?

Sing your heart out for Asthma + Lung UK!

We know every school wants to nurture the talents of their budding singers and musicians. And parents love to see their children perform so you’re guaranteed to draw a crowd.

Singing in a group at any age boosts well-being and happiness so it’s great for the kids too.

Use your lungs to help us achieve our vision of a world where everyone can breathe with healthy lungs. We’ll help you every step of the way to make it as easy and fun as possible.

Get planning

You could use a regular event at school to fundraise. Or you could pick a seasonal theme, depending on when you choose to do it.

Here are a few ideas to get you started:

  • Autumn term –Coffee and Carols event or a Charity Christmas Concert
  • Spring term – Love Your Lungs Valentine’s Concert
  • Summer term – Leavers Assembly Concert

Once you have your date, time and venue, it’s time to start promoting your event. Let us know your plans and we can support you with some fabulous resources. You can use our logo in your promotions too.

Boost your fundraising at your event

Sell tickets

Asking for optional donations from people to attend is a great way to boost your fundraising.

Keep your guests happy

Keep your audience and performers happy by selling refreshments. Make an evening of it by having wine or other beverages for the adults. Don't forget to have a collection box for people to donate their small change.

Hold a raffle

Who doesn’t love a raffle? It’s always a fun way to help raise extra cash at your event. The better the prizes, the more entries so ask parents, local businesses and the anyone else you can think of to donate prizes. If you need any tips on this, we can help!

After your event

Follow up with everyone by thanking them and letting them know how much you raised together for Asthma + Lung UK. Then get in touch with us to arrange sending us the generous proceeds.
