What is the 2.6 Challenge?
We have seen demand for our health advice and support from our helpline skyrocket. At the same time, we're dealing with the huge impact of the cancellation of so many fundraising events due to the coronavirus pandemic.
We need your help now more than ever to make sure we can continue to provide vital support to the millions of people across the UK with a lung condition and anyone affected by the current crisis.
We’re asking you to take part in an activity of your choice based around the numbers 2.6 or 26. Run 2.6 km, do 26 minutes of non-stop juggling, complete 26 hours of sponsored silence – the possibilities are endless!
Who can get involved?
Anyone can take on the 2.6 Challenge! Whether you’re social distancing, self-isolating or shielding – the challenge is designed to be as flexible as possible.
You pick the activity that best suits your situation – it could be climbing your stairs 26 times or doing 26 laps of your flat or garden. If you’re able to go a little further afield – you could do a 2.6km jog or walk in your local park.
It doesn’t have to be physical – you could spend 26 minutes de-cluttering that drawer or 26 minutes of meditating.
Have fun and get fundraising
Getting involved in the challenge is really simple, all you have to do is:
- Pick your activity
- Set up your fundraising page – it’s already made for you!
- Ask family, friends and colleagues to sponsor you
- Complete your activity and send us your photos so we can share them on social media!
If you can’t get involved with the challenge, you can make a donation straight to the campaign.
